          Several dental techniques are used to increase our patient's comfort and to provide painless dentistry.

1. The dentist will use topical lidocaine to numb the gums before performing an injection.

2. We use a slow injection technique since most of the pain patient's experience is due to rapidly injecting and blowing up the gums too fast.

3. Our dentist will wait five minutes or more to let the novocaine take full effect.

4. Some patients have laughing gas ( nitrous oxide ) to relax them.

5. Above all, we educate because an educated patient is less fearful and has a better experience.
