Dental Treatment

at the  Atlanta Dental Group PC

The Atlanta Dental Group,PC offers most dental treatment in one convenient location and there's no charge for parking! Because we have more than one dentist we can care for both adults and children.

Routine Prophylaxis ( Cleaning ) - You should see a dentist and have a dental cleaning every six months. The dentist performs an examination after your cleaning in order to identify dental problems before they become serious.

Diagnostic x-rays including panoramic x-rays - x-rays can reveal dental decay before a dentist is able to see the decay in a patient's mouth. Modern dental techniques require much less radiation than years ago and dental x-rays require much less radiation than their medical equivalents.

Comprehensive Examination - Every patient should be examined by a dentist regularly not only to identify dental decay but also to check for oral cancer and any oral signs of medical diseases. This should be the first step in all dental treatment.

Cosmetic Dentistry including bonding and whitening. - Cosmetic Dentistry has entered a new and fantastic era where a dentist can often create a beautiful smile for most patients using any of a number of new cosmetic dental treatments.

Orthodontics ( Braces ) for children and adults -Orthodontics is not only just for the wealthy or just for children. Modern dental advances in orthodontic appliances have increased the comfort of patients, often reduced the time necessary for orthodontic care, and simplified orthodontic treatment so that a general dentist can treat many cases. Our dentists use both removable and fixed orthodontic therapy.

Natural Looking Tooth Colored Fillings - There are many white filling dental materials that a dentist can now use that are approved by the American Dental Association. These cosmetic natural looking dental materials can be used in both anterior and molar dental treatments.

Traditional Silver Amalgam Restorations - Amalgam fillings do have the advantage of being very strong and often last decades. They have been used since the middle of the 19 th century. One dentist, Dr. Smith, offers this dental restorative option

Endodontics ( Root Canal Therapy ) - Modern dental treatments allow a dentist to perform root canals comfortably and quickly. Dr. Smith, a dentist with our group, uses many different types and combinations of dental anesthetics to make each patient comfortable during their root canal therapy.

Crowns and Bridges - Wonderful advances in porcelain technology have allowed most dental crown and bridge
work to look like natural teeth. A dentist now has the choice of the use of many different dental materials and dental treatments in order to achieve a beautiful natural smile for his patients.

Periodontics ( Gum Therapy ) - Patients no longer need to lose their teeth because of Periodontal ( Gum ) Disease. Periodontal dental treatment has come a long way over the past 10 years and in many cases periodontal surgery can be avoided.

Scaling and Root Planing - Scaling and root planing is the first step in periodontal dental treatment. It involves scraping and smoothing a patient's teeth under the gums while under strong anesthesia. This reduces the gum inflammation and infection so that the gum tissue shrinks down. The dental treatment is performed by a hygienist and not a dentist

Gum and bone grafting and regeneration - Dental periodontal techniques have been recently developed to allow a dentist to replace missing dental bone or gum tissue for a patient. These additional type periodontal dental treatments are very welcomed by Dentistry since the older methods involved taking gum tissue away in order to slow down periodontal disease.

Dental Implants - Dental implants can be used to replace a patient's missing teeth without the need for the dentist to cut down adjacent natural teeth. Dental implants can also be used to help a patient to avoid wearing a bulky removable denture.

Oral Surgery including removal of wisdom teeth - Most oral surgery can be performed by a dentist in the Atlanta Dental Group's office without the need for putting a patient to sleep. We feel that in most cases the oral surgery procedure is too quick and easy to warrant the risk of general anesthesia.

TMJ Headache treatment - TMJ headache and neck ache pain can often cripple a patient. Dr. Padolsky, the senior dentist with our group, has over 18 years experience in treating TMJ problems.

Complete and Partial Dentures - False plastic and hidden metal dental appliances used to replace missing teeth.

Children's Dentistry - A child should first see a dentist at age 2. We recommend that parents initially bring their child in for a dental office tour and to watch their parent get a dental cleaning. Most children then demand that they be cleaned and be seen by the dentist also.

Emergency Dental Care - Most dental emergency patients will be immediately seen by a dentist in our office. Because we have more than one dentist most dental treatment to relieve a patient's pain can be performed in our dental office.
