After all of the alternatives are discussed, a final treatment plan is designed and a model of the final teeth constructed. This diagnostic model helps with the placement locations of the implants and teeth. The three dimensional model gives the dentist and patient a mutual vision of the final results being attempted. The better the planning, hopefully, the less possibility of dental implant complications.

          Choosing an implant dentist can be difficult. He or she should be a health care professional who listens and understands what you want. For success, there must be excellent communication between the patient and the dental health professional. Whenever possible, the patient should take an active part in planning and personally help with choosing dental implant treatment options.           There is no official recognition of an implant dentist status. The American Dental Association has not recognized Implant Dentistry as a dental specialty. This is a hot political issue and would require that the other specialties agree to this recognition. Dr. Padolsky has been doing dental implants since 1988. He was among the graduates of the first university dental implant continuing education program in 1988. In addition, he completed training with the Alabama Implant Study Group in the 1980's.
