Dr. Chung graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston Massachusetts with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry ( DMD ) in May of 2008. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society which recognized his outstanding success in his dental studies. In 2005 he was honored with Tufts Research Fellowship. While attending Tufts he received numerous academic awards. In both 2006 and 2007 he was awarded the Tufts Merit Scholarship, in 2006 he made Dean's List for High Performance on National Dental Boards Part I and again in 2007 for his performance in the National Dental Boards Part II.

Dr. Chung attended the University of California from 1998-2003 where he graduated with a B.S. Biology and a Minor in Business Administration. He was the president of the Korean American Student Association from 2001 to 2002 and President of the Southern California Korean College Student Association from 2002 to 2003. He also participated in the Pre-Dental Club at the University.

2006. Dr Chung was in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Medical Specialist.
Dr. Chung speaks conversational Korean and enjoys photography, cycling, mountain biking, hiking and camping. He was born in South Korea and moved to the suburbs of Los Angeles in 1991. He just recently settled in Atlanta where his wife, Grace, is a native.
