bulimia help

Giving bulimia help to patients is important to Dr. Padolsky. The dental bulimia effects can be severe and lead to the complete loss of all teeth early in life. Fortunately, they can be controlled if managed early. The primary requirement for success is for the patient to approach Dr. Padolsky and discuss the problem. Without this, Dr. Padolsky can not help.

Several dental bulimia help methods are available. Fill a pot with water and place some bicarbonate of soda in it. Increase the temperature slowly and continue to add bicarbonate of soda while it's still dissolving. Adding the bicarbonate slowly saturates the water with this base. When the bicarbonate falls to the bottom and doesn't dissolve, the water is saturated. Turn the heat off and let the water cool. You can add Cool Aid or Crytal Lite to give it some color and taste. Swishing with the solution immediately after vomiting neutralizes stomach acids.

Bulimia help is provided when a custom protective shield that covers all of the upper and lower teeth is constructed. The shields can be placed in the mouth before vomiting and theyt protect the teeth from the harmful effects on the teeth from stomach acids. This method does not restore lost enamel and dentin but is can halt the further destruction of teeth so that they will later be there for future restoration. If used early, it can possibly prevent bulimia tooth decay and many of the dental complications of bulmia.
