A three dimensional computer image of a patient's teeth is created using computer aided tomography (CAT) scanning and the information is fed into a high speed computer. The image is manipulated to straighten the teeth and then the computer determines the best way to get from point A ( crooked teeth ) to point B ( straight teeth ) using a sophisticated computer software program. A computer animation ( called a Clincheck ) of all the teeth moving is then created and the Invisalign dentist can review it to insure it's what was wanted.

          Invisalign works through a series of computer customized aligners. Each set of aligners is worn for 2 weeks and only removed to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little until they have straightened to the final position determined by the dentist in the Clincheck. At first an Invisalign patient returns each month but with some experience visits can be changed to every six weeks or two months depending on the case.
