Invisible Braces are here! Invisalign moves your teeth without metal brackets or wires and patients can clean and floss their teeth normally. Invisalign braces uses a series of clear plastic aligners worn for approximately 2 weeks each. Using a computer imaging program, Invisalign orthodontics creates a step by step three dimensional image of your teeth moving to their ideal positions. The computer then makes a series of aligners that slowly move your teeth with wear.

          These are invisible braces because the clear aligners fit over your teeth and can't be seen. The aligners can be removed during periods of time when you do not want anything in your mouth. However, the aligners are so thin that most patients forget that they are even in. One disadvantage of metal braces is that food can collect around the brackets and cause decalcification. This causes white spots and sometimes tooth cavities on the surface of the teeth.
