Most people are only concerned about finding a way to relieve toothache pain, when they should be more concerned with curing the cause. Toothache pain can be incredible at times. The first step to curing a toothache is to diagnose the cause. It is a good idea to see a dentist as soon as the pain begins. If you wait too long it may require a trip to the emergency dentist. The longer you wait before having something done the worse the problem can become, and if you wait too long it could also further limit possible solutions.
If you want to relieve toothache pain you should see a dentist immediately. If you cannot do so you can always find a home remedy for toothache pain, but again, this is not a tooth ache cure. For centuries people have been using clove oil for toothache relief. Over-the-counter toothache pain relievers are also a good choice. Aspirin, tylenol and ibuprofen can provide significant relief. Drugs such as vicodin and percocet must be prescribed by a doctor for use. Some people prefer a natural remedy for toothache pain, but these can have limited results.
To
diagnose the problem, so that you can relieve toothache
pain, you must get a complete
dental
examination. X-rays will generally tell your dentist exactly
what is wrong. Generally the causes are a tooth abscess, pulpitis, tooth
decay or possible
even a dead
tooth. Often the
problem can be as simple as a bit of food stuck between the teeth.
This can cause irritation to the gums as well as the teeth. Flossing
can dislodge the food and often fix the tooth ache. Of course,
if the cause is more serious you will have to see a dentist. In
serious cases, like if the tooth is dead, you will either need
root
canal therapy or
a tooth
extraction. If
you opt for the extraction, the tooth will need to be replaced.
This can be doen either witha dental
bridge or a dental implant.
