The tooth preparations are done next and the temporaries are based upon the aesthetic wax up. The try in appointment is when the final restorations are tried in and the patient actually gets to see the final smile makeover in place. This is often a very exciting moment.
The final restorations can be sent back to the dental laboratory and modified to the patient's satisfaction, however, once they are cemented with permanent cement, they have to be cut off and destroyed to be removed.
