TMJ Doctor
A TMJ Doctor must be familiar with both the dental and medical complications of jaw joint problems. Dr. Padolsky has been treating temporomandibular joint disorders for over twenty years and has taught this subject at several dental schools. In an attempt to help his patients, Dr. Padolsky also investigates medical problems which complicate the treatment.
Temporomandibular jaw disorders consist of several different types of problems. This is why it is extremely important to find a TMJ Doctor who is familiar with all of the causes and who does not always use the same "cookie cutter" treatment on all patients. Different patients may require different treatments. Dr. Padolsky enjoys working with other health care professionals in determining the causes of every patient's pain and then designing effective treatment programs.
Some temporomandibular joint disorders can be more successfully treated than others. Since there are many reasons for temporomandibular joint disorders, there is not one simple cure. A TMJ Doctor and his patients must understand this. Many patients have a thyroid problems and require the services of an Endocrinologist. Some patients have fibromyalgia and need a Rheumatologist and others need a Cardiologist to control their mitral valve prolapse.
Regardless of which TMJ Doctor you visit first, you will probably need to visit several other health care professionals to address all of your signs and symptoms. Dr. Padolsky is dedicated to his patients' good health and well being. He has been caring for pain patients since 1982 and is passionate about helping his patients.
