The wisdom tooth cost depends on the difficulty and extent of the oral surgery needed. A dental extraction that is easy and routine is usually priced from $130 to $450. The price usually includes a follow up post operative visit to check the dental surgery site a week after the tooth extraction.

          If an incision is made into the gums and the gums are reflected off of the tooth, the wisdom tooth cost is increases. This is called a soft tissue impaction and requires extra time and procedures than a simple extraction. If a wisdom tooth also has some bone covering it, it is called a partial bony extraction and costs more than just a soft tissue impaction. Fees for these procedures run from about $200.00 to $495.00 and if sutures were placed, usually includes the follow up visit to remove the stitches.

          The most expensive tooth surgery is related to an impacted wisdom tooth. The wisdom tooth cost in this case is the greatest because of the special care and difficulty of doing this wisdom tooth extraction. The price in these cases range from $350.00 to $650.00 per tooth. Some patients choose general anaesthesia for their oral surgery procedures and there is a separate cost for this.
