Wisdom tooth pulling is best done when when you are young and before it causes the rest of your teeth to crowd. Most patients do not have enough room for their third molars and by the time these teeth come in, most of the room in the mouth is taken. They don't fit.

Local anaesthetics provide deep numbness. In a number of cases, lower wisdom tooth pain comes from another tooth biting on the gums tissues. In this case, the offending tooth tha it causing the problem is removed and the patient returns after a week to have the lower one removed.
